  1.               The DOOM Hall of Fame: Collector's Edition

  4. The DOOM Hall of Fame: Collector's Edition comes in two volumes, both of 
  5. which are self-extracting zipfiles:
  6.  
  7. Volume 1:   LMPVOL1.EXE - This volume contains only those .LMPs which can be 
  8.                           viewed with the SHAREWARE version of DOOM 1.2.
  9.                           Contains 17 .LMPs. Size: 140K compressed - expands 
  10.                           to 1.3 Mb.
  11.  
  12. Volume 2:   LMPVOL2.EXE - Contains .LMPs which can only be viewed with the
  13.                           REGISTERED version of DOOM . Contains 39 .LMPs.
  14.                           Size:  412K - expands to 2.8 Mb.
  15.  
  16. If you have only the SW version of DOOM, just get Volume 1. If you have 
  17. the Registered version, get BOTH Volumes.
  18.  
  19. IMPORTANT: When extracting, move the files to your DOOM directory and type 
  20. LMPVOL1 -d and/or LMPVOL2 -d.

  40.    The most unbelievable and enjoyable .LMPs ever recorded this side of
  41. Phobos. See the tricks that only the pros can do! See incredible NEAR-DEATH
  42. battles of those who have hit the 1% mark and survived! Watch the brave and
  43. courageous Baron-Tamer round up those beasties with the grace of a figure-
  44. skater! Watch the final battles handled as elegantly and confidently as a 
  45. bullfighter!

  47.    Am I beginning to sound like a Circus Ringmaster? Forgive me. Here's the
  48. layout of what I plan to include in this package:

  50.      - .LMPs of all levels, containing 100% kills and Secrets. I decided that
  51.        100% items wouldn't be compulsory since it's not very exciting to watch
  52.        someone gathering worthless helmets and potions all the time. I'd rather
  53.        watch a mushroom picker in a forest...

  55.        And these are not JUST the levels, they are the levels in a way you
  56.        have never expected-- I've thrown caution to the wind and have
  57.        gone on a Rampage! You can forget about hiding around a corner and
  58.        impatiently waiting for the enemy to come. Let's show them who's Boss
  59.        around here! CHARGE!!

  61.      - RanDOOM .LMPs!

  63.      - Unbelievable PWAD .LMPs!
  64.  
  65.      - The Famous Hall of Fame .LMPs, containing the classic E1L8 pistol
  66.        shootout, plus some new and exciting challenges (E2L2 with only a 
  67.        fist, E2L9 without a shot fired).
  68.  
  69.      - The Automatic LMP File Recorder and Developer (ALFRED), a program I 
  70.        wrote to simplify the organization, recording and viewing of .LMP
  71.        files. It will also be able to automatically record and play .LMPs
  72.        made with RanDOOM or PWADS, as well as the option to display a text 
  73.        file to introduce those very special .LMPs.
